The play area is right outside our front door by the frozen lake “Mensträsket”.

A natural ice rink with up to 70 cm thick ice and a magnificent panoramic view of the lake.

The Game: 

In curling, two teams play against each other.

The goal is to bring your team’s curling stones “in the best position” to the goal – a wooden cube placed in the middle of the goal area.

A game consists of 6 rounds. The curling stone that is closest to the goal after the round has the best position and gets the point.

“Playing on natural ice isn’t exactly easy. Sometimes the curling stones shoot over the goal, and other times they stop sullenly halfway… And then there are your opponents’ stones that you accidentally push into the goal. It takes a little time and practice, but it’s great fun and there’s plenty of laughter.”
