Imagine waking up with the first light of day. The lake “Mensträsket” glistens before you, the world is silent—just you, nature, and the gentle lapping of the water.
A small, secluded island surrounded by crystal-clear water. No traffic, no noise—just the gentle sound of the waves and the wind in the trees. The untouched nature of Swedish Lapland is your home—no electricity, no frills, but plenty of soul.

During the day, you can explore the island, enjoy the gentle rays of sunshine sparkling like little diamonds on the water’s surface, swim in the lake, read a good book in the hammock, or fish for the catch of your life right from the shore (June-October). In the evening, you can cook comfortably around the campfire—directly under the starry sky with a view towards the northeast and, with a little luck, an unobstructed view of the northern lights (September-March).
And then: an ancient ritual—the sauna.
Rustic and simple in design – plain, uncomplicated and modeled on ancient traditions from long-forgotten times. In the middle of nature, heated with real fire, cooled off in the cool lake (ice bathing in winter).

What began as an experiment in 2025 has become a major attraction and is now an integral part of our community. Our Midommar event was fully booked again in 2026, and even day visitors from the surrounding area came to enjoy our wonderful festival.
A sense of community among complete strangers, tourists and locals at one table, inspiring conversations, exciting stories and a wonderful atmosphere made this event something very special.
Many thanks to everyone who participated and enriched this event with their warmth and openness. We are already looking forward to Midsummer 2027.
